Olympic Waterways, pedestrian access, 23rd January 2012

At the beginning of January Land & Water, working on behalf of the Olympic Delivery Authority, started installing a series of piles that will support one of the main pedestrian walkways into the Olympic Park.

As part of this piling work WHH Ltd have a Bantam Pusher tug “Weaver” on hire to Land & Water to move the piles and the piling barge into position on City Mill River where the piles are being installed.

In order to keep up with the tight work completion schedules and looming deadline the tug is working both day and night shifts to get all the piles installed on time for the walkway to be built on top ready for the Games.
